Felt Flower Broche
Last week i made this felt broche which i have not
succeeded to photograph successfully. The felt is
white, the button is cream-coloured. I decorated
the edges of the petals with frosted lace glitterglue.
It is not really glittery glitter but more a shimmery
sort of glitter. It looks really nice on a white woollen
sweater.

Woolen Bullfinch
Last week one of my colleagues taught us how
to make this gorgeous bullfinch (Dompap, Goudvink) from
wool. Imagine some hanging in your Christmas Tree !
My collegue is called Jorunn and she organises
workshops regularly. She teaches wet-felting,
needle-felting and other related crafts.
Har du lyst å være med på en workshop,
så kan du ringe Jorunn på nummer 97072870

Mah-Jong Tournament
A few weeks ago we had our fourth family
Mah-Jong tournament. It was lots of fun again
and the last time it would be held at my cousin's
house at that time. Next year we will play either
in his new (smaller) house or at a public place.
As we play with over twenty family-members
it is quite possible he will not have enough space
to put in all the tables.
Here you can see my cousin Joost in action in the lower
left corner. He is in battle with his father (my uncle),
another uncle and another cousin (yes, we have a big
family).
Here you can see my sister Annemieke at play (wearing
purple) with our uncle and two nieces.
Two aunts and a niece are deep in thought at the
three-man table.
We are building the wall before a new round, i am
sitting in the top left corner. My opponents are
an aunt, a cousin-in-law and the daughter of my
niece. In the back you can see my mother and sister.
Me having a go at a wooden puzzle. I did not solve it, alas.
My father was is none of the pictures as he was taking the
photo's :)

My Crafty Family : part VII
My father has made this fantastic Mah-Jong table. It plays
really very nice. No drinks allowed on this one ! He reused
an old felt puzzle cloth to make the top.
Last week my sister came to visit us and she made this
Caroling Choir. How sweet they are. They look even
cuter in real life. They turned out very different from the
example on the package, which was kind of dull. So thumbs
up for "own interpretation".
She also made these Christmas Gnomes. They are just
too cute and cudly to be true. They will be looking lovely
and cheering up their living room this Christmas.
And last but certainly not least : my uncle crocheted these
awesome pot-holders. One in the Dutch colours and one in
the norwegian ones, as i am a dutchie living in Norway.
He made these using the Tunesian Crochet technique,
something he had not done before. They are looking really
great in the kitchen.
