When walking i encountered this Greenshank
(Groenpootruiter / Gluttsnipe) for the very first
time. He (or she) was feeding at the waterline.

He was sharing his territory with a Common Sandpiper
(Oeverloper / Strandsnipe) which i had never seen before
either.

A bit further along the path, in the fields, i spotted a
Roe Deer (Europese Ree / Rådyr) which i had seen
before, but is was such fun to see this young male just
walking, eating the young grass and enjoying himself.
Until he spotted me, then all i saw what the white of
his hairy bottom getting smaller and smaller.
