Søstrene Grene, is opening a store in the Netherlands, hurrah !

Hearts for a new home

Maureen ordered two hearts from me for a pair of her friends
who are moving into their new house. This is what i came up with.

A Mah-Jong tournament

The upcoming saturday there will be held a Mah-Jong tournament
at the Mah-Jong club where my parents, my sister and myself
are playing. The club is called De Oostpoort, which means
The Eastern Gate. It is called that because the Oostpoort is an
important landmark in the city of Delft. My father will be
tournament leader and my mother, my sister and myself will
be doing the catering. We like to play Mah-Jong also, but not
so much tournaments, which means playing many hours a day.
And since noone else wants to do the catering ... we do it.
Participants will be coming from all over the country and that
means meeting a lot of people you only meet a few times a year.
What a great way to catch up !

... a birthday heart. Made this for my friend's daughter.

A tweed cowl

I knitted this tweed cowl for myself and it turned out lovely
and warm. I just knitted a tube of 1.40 metres long and sewed
the ends together. Easy peasy, just how we like it.

Ladies Tattoo Convention

A few weeks back we attended the 2nd Ladies
Tattoo Convention in Zaandam. It was a small
convention, but we did see a lot of interesting
things nonetheless. There were lots and lots of
old school tattoos and sixties' themes going on
there, fun fun fun !

My crafty family : mom knitted a cosy cosy ...

... from scrap yarn ! You really do not need a lot
of yarn to make something cute and that is exactly
what she did : knit this cute cosy. It is nice and
warm because she knitted it on needles that were
a size too small for the yarn, which makes the
fabric really thick and tight.

Pilou yarn by Phildar is ultrasoft and does not itch,
perfect for everyone who hates woolitch.
