I recieved a very scary card today, made by my crafty
sister. It is scary on the inside and out, eek !

A New Bird : Part II

I saw a new bird again today, it is called Cinclus cinclus
and looks really sweet. It happens to be Norway's
national bird, which i was not aware of. If you want
to know more about this bird, there is an entry on Wikipedia.

ATC's : Halloween Part III

Another Halloween ATC. Mostly made from scrapbookingpaper
this time. And ofcourse a batstamp and some stamped lettering.

More Christmas Kits

More Pre-Christmas fun. These are some kits i was
able to buy at one of the local grocery stores. Eventhough
they had only started to advertise with them the evening
before, they were almost sold out the morning after they
started. So you understand i consider myself very lucky.

ATC's : Halloween Part II

Here are some ATCs i made with the new sheets
by Oxford Impressions, Trick or Treat and Wicked.
The sheets are totally gorgeous and exactly my cup
of tea. I will be having a lot of fun with these stamps.
Oxford Impressions is one of my favorite stamp
brands.

Easy Halloween Craft

How about an easy Halloween Craft then ? These
bats are easy to make and look really nice when
they are decorating your windows, mirrors etcetera.
The way to make these is simple : draw half a bat on
sturdy paper, fold paper in half along the "spine", cut
out (you will then have a whole bat and folded it will
be sturdy enought to trace around), fold black cardstock
in half, trace around the half bat, cut out and voila, a
bat has been born.

Christmas Kits

I bought some Christmas Stash recently, not because
i am already preparing for Christmas, but because if i
do not buy these kits now, they will be sold out. And it
is not even Halloween yet. But because these kits are
so sweet i thought i would share them with you.

ATC's : Trio

Via Corien i came into the posession of
three ATCs i had forgotten i made ! I used
(among others) stamps by Paperbag Artsy
and of course my trusty Stylus Tool.

MAD : Mail-art Awareness Day

Mail art is art which uses the postal system as a medium.
The term mail art can refer to an individual message, the
medium through which it is sent, or an artistic genre.
Mail art is also known as postal art and
Correspondence/Mail Art (CMA). Mail artists exchange
ephemera in the form of illustrated letters, zines,
rubberstamped, decorated or illustrated envelopes,
ATCs, postcards, artistamps, faux postage, friendship
books, decos, and other three-dimensional objects.

There are similarities between mail art and ATCs as
well as an important difference. What is unique about
ATCs is trading, especifically face-to-face trading. If
ATCs are sent in the mail, they become a variation of
CMA. There is no difference in a formal sense
between ATCs and CMA. In both cases, they
incorporate the full range of art media and disciplines.
Conceptually ATCs are extremely close to CMA : they are
both about exchanging art without the interface of the
artworld and without money being involved. Except for
the concept of the trading session, the two activities could
be, for all intents and purposes, the same.

As i am interested in both Mail art and ATCs, i came up with
the idea of MAD, a Mail art Awareness Day. It can be any day
in the year, and it can occur several times a year, you decide
when and how often MAD occurs. The only thing that is
obligatory, is that you make sure the date and the term
MAD is visible on the envelope. The contents of the envelope
are chosen by the sender. The date and the term MAD are
optional on the contents on the envelope.

On the photograph you see the envelope i used plus the
contents of the envelope : a flyer about MAD.

Clear Stamps Organised

I saw the ideal way to store Clear Stamps on the
internet. So i tried it out and it really IS ideal. The
idea is ridiculously simple : you put your Clear Stamps
in empty CDcovers. I am very pleased with the result
and have a collection of CDcovers standing next to me
now. This also works for stamps that are mounted on
EZ-Cling.

Halloween Cards

I made (amongst other things that i can not show yet)
some Halloween Cards. As it is my second favorite
holiday, i feel that it is a great opportunity to send
some cards.

Halloween Sylvanian : Part II

I showed you my Halloween Sylvanian earlier and now
he has a friend ! Jenifer made one too and i think it is
totally adorable ! She even knitted a scraf for him, now
that is dedication.

A Visitor

A few weekends ago, my friend Jenifer visited us
in Norway. The weather was, to say the least, not
too nice, but we had lots of fun anyway. The proof
of that is shown on the pictures on which we smiled.

Owls

I made a string of owls in celebration of autumn.
They are made of scrapbookingpaper, buttons,
some string and ribbon. On their bellies are the
words Hoot Hoot Happy Fall stamped with one
of PSX's alphabetsets.

My Crafty Family : Part IV

Some more pictures from the activities my crafty family

My father made this groovy lamp for his new office.
His office is positioned under the sloping roof, so the
picture might look a bit awkward.


My sister made this easterlight for me. It looks
really nice when a tealight is burning in it.


My aunt sewed this small scent bag for me. It
has two pieces of soap in it so it smells lovely.
I keep it in one of my clothesdrawers so everytime
i open it to take something out, it smells great.

Recyle Craft Redo

I redid these tealight holders made out of empty pastasauce
glasses. I made the original ones a long time ago, but they
did not look very nice anymore because of dust and
decoloration of the paper i used. So i made them again and
since i like them so much i thought i would post them anew.
I used empty pastasauce glasses, baking paper, thread and
pinecones i collected.

ATC's : Halloween

This is one of last year's Halloween ATC's that i had
not posted yet. It is made from sheet, cardstock, paper,
ribbon and decoration leaves.

Retro Chestnut Craft

One of my alltime favorite crafts is this : making
spiderwebs out of chestnuts using wooden picks,
wool and ofcourse chestnuts. This one is standing
leaning against the wall but you can also hang them
in front of the window or a wall.

My Ploesie Poesies

Here are my three Ploesie Poesies, sitting snuggly
together on the sofa. Before they moved in here
they did some PR-work on some local faires :

Autumn Card

In honour of the arrival of autumn i made Autumn Cards
and sent them to wish the recipiants a Happy Autumn.
The cards are made from Scrapbooking paper and small
buttons. Each card consists of two owls that are hanging
from bits of rope and are joined together by a piece of ribbon.

Halloween Sylvanian

The first Halloween Craft of this year, is this
Altered Sylvanian. I can truly say he is not nearly
as sweet now, as he used to be. He is cute tho,
ready for trick-or-treating. With his flapping bat
on a wire, he will surely scare a lot of people !
