Something new : a cool moss

I do not think i have ever seen this "for real" so to say, i
do believe i have only seen this type of moss in books.
I saw i today when i was walking around the lake. It really
does look like a group of teeny tiny cups.



Cladonia or cup lichen (bekermos / begerlav) is a genus of
moss-like lichens in the family Cladoniaceae. They are the
primary food source for reindeer and caribou. Cladonia
species are of economic importance to reindeer-herders
such as the Sami in Scandinavia. The light green species
Cladonia stellaris is used in Christmas decorations.

My Crafty Family : drawn Christmas-card by my mother

This is the newest in the line of my mother's Christmas
cards, she is so good at drawing ! Alas, the picture is not
showing it's true beauty, it is much prettier in the real.

I made a bow-assistant

I made a bow-assistant, first in cardboard, to establish
the measurements. Afterwards i made it in plastic, from
the front of a DVD case i was no longer using. I am happy
with the result and it works too !

She is crafty : with cakes !

My crafty friend Jenifer has found another,
very edible, craft that she is really good at !
Cake-craft, and do they not look delicious ?
Talking about a perfect way to combine
crafting and cake !

A visitor on the lake

Today we were again visited by a huge Sea-eagle
that, just like the one that visited the lake last year,
was sitting on the icy lake surrounded by a group
of crows.



It was a real beauty and of the same sort as the
eagle that was pictured on the front of one of my
new books on birds.
