Every year on midsummer's eve (Sankthansaften) there are
bonfires all over Norway. But in Ålesund there always is
a huge bonfire called Slinningsbålet and in 2010 they set
an unofficial world record for the highest bonfire.
The tower measured 40,45 metres in hight and the
burning of it could be followed around the world
via a webcam.
