Someone dressed the trees !

Someone in Stavanger must have thought that the
trees are taking way too long to flower and get leaves
this spring and decided to dress them in colourful
yarn.

Jenifer is 40 !

My best friend for the past twenty (!!!) years
turns 40 today. She actually does not look a
day over 29, haha :) Congratulations !!

Easy knitted collar

Just knit this straightforward and fasten the
ends of the scarf to one another. Be sure to twist
the scarf before you fasten the ends and it
becomes a collar.

Workshop : Spring Wreath

How to make this Spring wreath :

Take a wreath form (i used on out of styrofoam) and begin
to wrap it with the wool of your liking, i used untwined
wool because i think that is just pretty, i did it unevenly
because i can not stand symmetry in these kinds of projects :)

Add a piece of ribbon in the colour of your choice,
and wrap it tightly around the top of your wreath,
glue the two ends together (or use pins).

Then add a bow, size and colour of your choice, i used
a bowmaker to make mine, again glue or pin in place.

Prepare the flowers that are going on your wreath :
make them look vintage and then add some glitter, i used
the type that is not really glittery, more the type that
makes the flowers look frosty. Add the flowers and some
leaves to the wreath with either glue or pins.

Sew an owl, and pin it in place, poor owl !

Goedgemutste Breicampagne 2012

The aim for this year's Goedgemutste Breicampagne
(Big Knit) is 100.000 woolly hats for the Netherlands.
This campaign by Innocent has been a reocurring
knitting campaign since 2003 that has evolved to
a yearly european knitting event.

The Innocent hats are knitted by knitters up and
down the country. They send Innocent their hats all
year and Innocent then counts them all up before
handpacking them onto their little bottles. They are
then sent off to stores, and will be available for 2 weeks.
For every behatted bottle sold, 20 cents is donated. Over
the years, Innocent has been sent hats of all different
shapes and sizes, from all over the world and from people
who’ve been knitting for years to those who’ve just
picked up their needles for the first time. All of the
money raised through the hats knitted, goes directly
to centres to allow them to continue providing
support to elderly people in their local community.

Grand Nestabilities vs Big Shot

No, the Grand Nestabilities are not meant for any other

die-cutting machine than the Grand Calibur (according
to Spellbinders Company).

Yes, the Grand Nestabilities labels 11 fit in your normal
Big Shot die-cutting machine !

It is a tight fit, but they do fit. I do not know about other
oblong GN dies yet, but i think i will be trying other
shapes too.

Knit Colours

Do you feel like knitting your own Harry Potter bookmark ?
But you are not sure of the colours you can use ? Let me help
you with that : here are the four colours for the four houses.

Harry Potter Knit

I needed a bookmark, so i knitted a Harry Potter
bookmark. Knitted i the round it can get to be a bit
thick, but after ironing it it works just fine. These
colours are the Gryffindor colours, but since i need
more bookmarks anyway, i shall be using some
of the other house-colours too.
