Impressions from the vacation-house

Some photographs to give you an impression of
the surroundings of my parent's vacation-house
where we always stay during the Four Days Marches.



It is a real beautiful mixture of farmlands and forest.




Nature is all around us when we stay there and it is
a real lovely place to go for (training) walks.

Here is my crafty friend Jenifer with her family in
traditional clothing, Do they not look sweet ?

in these pictures, you can see she is really handy
with her plotter, making all kinds of stuff !

Homemade Washitape

I am really happy with the look of my homemade "washitape".
It is translucent and looks very much fun both torn and cut.
This is how it looks when you tape envelopes closed with it.




Since the number designs of tissue paper and napkins are
almost endless I can make almost every design of tape.
Imagine me finding a new package of lovely napkins :
Other person : "Oh these will do lovely for the dinner
party with so-and-so".
Me : "Huh ? oh i was actually planning to make tape out
of them ...".

ATC's : circus

Circus ATC's are very fun to make. They are usually colourful
and there are a lot of possible themes within the circus-theme.



That they do not have to be very colourful is shown in one
of the ATC's from the series of three. Black and white are
the main colours of harlequins and that sort of performers.

I found this ANCIENT photograph about two weeks ago,
and guess what i am doing ? Right, i am making something.

Balloons

These are sights you can often see in the vicinity of my
parent's vacationhouse, where we always stay when we
go the marches (and have other vacations too, of course).
On still summer evenings you can all of a sudden see a
shadow passing over you or hear the firing of the
balloon's flame. Nothing is more fun than a summer
evening with a bunch of these colourful giants in the sky.

Pretty Skies

When we were at my parent's vacationhouse to go walk
the marches, we were treated to this :



These photographs have not been altered, what they
show here is exactly how we saw it that evening.



It was early in the evening, it was still light because it was
in the middle of summer, when it all of a sudden became
orangey-pink everywhere and then it started to rain like
crazy ! There was no wind at all and the raindrops fell
straight down, it was quite a sight.



After the clouds had rained out, the skies turned to their
normal colour again, but luckily we had these photographs
to relive the moment.
